Police warning after spike in Range Rover thefts in Hale

Owners should use a steering wheel lock, officers said.

Police have issued a warning to residents in Hale after a recent spike in Range Rover thefts.

Officers from Greater Manchester Police said that owners should use a steering wheel lock to protect their keyless vehicles.

In a social media post this morning, a spokesperson said: "There has been a recent spike in keyless Range Rover thefts in the Hale village area.

"If you think you may be susceptible to this, consider securing your vehicle by alternative means such as a steering wheel lock. Free crime prevention advice is available on the GMP website.

"Please do not hesitate to report anything suspicious to the police. Use 999 in an emergency or 101/online for report for non-emergency reports."
